General Thoughts

Presidential Election - A little disappointed that McCain didn't win, but it's alright, I guess I can live with Obama. Just hoping that God will guide him in his decisions for the next four years.
Prop 1A - I fucking love trains, so I can't wait for the high-speed bullet trains to take effect. This is the only thing that I agree with that San Francisco voted for as a city.
Prop 2 - I don't believe that people voted yes on prop 2. It makes sense to me that all the agricultural counties in California voted no on it, cause they don't wanna waste their time doing this bullshit of having more space for the fucking animals so we can eat them anyway. I mean really? I don't go to Chili's and ask the server (hopefully female), "Hey before I eat this steak, I was wondering if you knew that the cow had enough room in its cell before it got slaughtered."
Prop 3 - Children's Hospital. I voted no on this only for the fact that I didn't feel like spending more tax dollars on that. I'm sorry children, this may seem cruel, but we're in debt far enough.
Prop 4 - I don't believe that parents voted no on this particular proposition. I hope in the future I raise my daughter right so she won't have to deal with being pregnant at a minor age, but I'm also hoping she would let me know, so I can ground her for life.
Prop 5 - Was this the druggie one? Fuck you guys, go to jail. It serves you right to abuse drugs and I don't have a single bit of sympathy for you. Get healthy.
Prop 6 - I'm glad that this one was completely dominated. Why would I wanna waste my tax dollars to help cops so that they can just give me more tickets? We could be using that money for education and other things, like high-speed trains.
Prop 7 - Energy... the only thing I have to say about alternative energy is: Who cares?
Prop 8 - I have nothing against gay people (as long as you don't flaunt it in public communities and keep yourselves behind closed doors). I'm tired of people complaining that this particular proposition didn't pass and are trying to get it back on the ballot. We've already voted for this in 2006, and it was unfair that the Supreme Court of California overturned the voters' decision this May. This is why it was on the ballot.
Prop 9 - Victim's rights... cool, whatever. I voted yes.
Prop 10 - Energy again? No, who cares?
Prop 11 - Redistricting... whatever I voted yes on that.
Prop 12 - Providing housing and farms for veterans. My father is a veteran of the Vietnam War, so I'm happy this prop passed. I almost voted no on this, however, until I read it over.
Measure R - LA County Traffic Relief. Really guys? Did you really vote yes on this so we can raise our taxes to 8.75%? There's alternative routes to get home, take them. I'm not buying anything in LA County, time to go to Orange.
Measure RR - I haven't checked it, but I don't see why anyone would vote no on expanding Mt. Sac's educational offerings.

In closing, I'd just like to say that the people voted a certain way for a certain purpose. It's immature to raise up in anger of how something was already decided. Squall once said in Final Fantasy VIII, "If that's how it was decided, you have to abide by it." I believe in what he had to say for the main fact that it is a valid statement. We live in a country of democracy; the greatest in the world. I love America and it's policies. The people, I may not all agree with, though. Just stop trying to change the way things were decided in your rage, or whatever, it's just not in the best interest of the people. What's done is done. This country was made to reflect the people's choice. This "[...] government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

You can say what you want, but this is just my response because it seems like anything a conservative says is deemed as wrong. Why are we the ones that get put down? We're seen as heartless individuals that want to keep things traditional. But are there really people that are heartless? Me, I may not have the nicest views about these things, but that's just cause I've had it with the constant bashes on conservatives. I still care, only about certain things, and that's the reason why I believe the way I do.

Fun Night

Ok I haven't really written in here for awhile; I guess you can call it laziness, or whatever. I can't recall much of what's happened in the last two weeks, so I'll just start from last night. Darryl and I went to meet up with Melissa in LA where we decided on going to check out the shops at the Americana. It wasn't bad I guess. The scenery was nice, the band was okay, and the weather wasn't too bad. I just don't think there were that many shops of interest there; but that's okay because the Galleria was like right there. We went to watch Step Brothers ... talk about a funny movie. It was so random that I just wanted to die in my seat. It was nice cause I haven't really laughed that hard in awhile. Pretty good movie, not too sure if it beat Harold and Kumar though, and it definitely doesn't beat Anchorman, which has to be the funniest movie of all time.

After that we went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory (talk about damage to my bank account). After the grilled rib-eye I decided to treat myself to a nice take-home slice of Godiva cheesecake. I just killed about two-fifths of it a few minutes ago and am now headed further down the path of diabetes. Though being an expensive night and everything, it was a lot of fun, I hadn't really gone out like that in a while so it was quite worth it. I'm still kinda tired right now, so hopefully I'll get to bed soon.

Dream

I had such a weird dream last night. It's been on my mind on and off this whole day, but that's probably cause I had a boring day and I didn't really have much to do. It's kinda like Squall said in Final Fantasy VIII, "I hate having nothing to do. It gets me thinking too much." I agree with that one, especially today. Oh well, I think it's time to go to bed again soon; I wonder what's in store for me tonight.

It's Like I Said

The ending of my week was pretty good, besides work anyway. I don't even feel like talking about that so I'll just skip to the fun part of my Saturday, which seems to be the "Friday" of my work schedule. My favorite cousin Vivian was in Hollywood this weekend for Anime Expo, so I decided to go and see her, since I hadn't in two years. I took Darryl and Melissa to see her with me since I don't really know the area and I didn't feel like getting lost in LA, holy shanked. I guess it was like a cousin's day or something. We picked up Melissa first and it was cool cause Vivian's hotel was only five miles away from Melissa's house. After we got her we went to The Grove to watch Hancock. I thought it was a pretty decent movie despite the poor reviews; maybe that's just me. I don't wanna ruin it so I'm not gonna talk about it. But it was just nice to spend time with my cousin; too bad I didn't call in this weekend so I could have had like a whole day.

So, like I said, the end of this week was pretty good. I got to see the girl who's on my mind all the time, and my favorite cousin. I've been pretty tired lately, so I'll leave it at that.

Turnaround

I just came back from Macy*s where I bought some loose fit Levi's and a Calvin Klein belt. I wasn't really planning on buying anything but I was just like whatever I'll just buy something for fun. I can't wait to wear them; they'll go great with my Lacoste casual short sleeve.

This has been a pretty tiring and disappointing week, but I think my turnaround point was last night. I think I needed that, otherwise I'd probably flare a lot more of my temper today. I'm in a fairly decent mood. If that random guy like interrupts me while I'm talking with her again, then I'm going to... well I don't know, just ignore him cause it's pretty annoying. Like really? I'm in the middle of a conversation; I hate that. I wish I could have stayed longer, but those stupid morning shifts this week have been owning me. It's only been like twelve hours, yet it feels so long.

Anyway, got a new phone yesterday, and a new number. I love this phone! I'm just not used to the touch screen yet. It has a lot of great features but it's just missing one thing. Your number... ugh, then it'll be perfect.


OKAY BREAK!! THIS JUST IN!! RJ AND I JUST FUCKING DOMINATED THIS FULL TILT POKER TOURNAMENT! First and second place finish, respectively. Let's talk about it. Our luck was so fucking pathetic going to the final table. We were both short stacked, about 50k away from the chip leader. Together we overcame that deficit and eliminated every other fucking loser at that table. Pretty funny watching our terrible luck go against each other. I've never seen so many hands folded, but yeah whatever, we just owned that table like no other. Talk about rounders. A great ending to a great day.

Two hours of sleep to work with this whole day. Went to South Coast with John to see if the Lacoste store had my Lacoste Observe Lace Mix, but they didn't. John bought a polo there. It seems like everyone has a Lacoste shirt or something but me, and I think it's time to change that. I want a crocodile. Even random old people had Lacoste apparel on there. Hopefully soon. Anyway, went to work after that; which was pretty okay I guess. Nothing interesting. Went home and chose sides with my sister to help her crush my dad and two neighbors in Scrabble; she was already winning, but my extra boost just set the victory in stone. After a couple hours of talk I just decided to come in here and write this, and now it's time to sleep. Work in a few hours, yay...

Accomplishment!

YES!! I won this 90 player tournament on Full Tilt. Even though it was just 90 players and it's just an online game, I felt accomplished. You know how Matt Damon felt in the movie Rounders after he beat KGB for the first 5k? Yeah that's how I felt, but there's no KGB to talk me into walking back into that tournament cause I have nothing at stake. Not only did I win 7200 play chips to my stack, but I also won some pride and confidence. Is it Morongo time? Let's save some money baby.

It all started with J 9 clubs (talk about an unlikely all-in call), but I eliminated all eight players at my table with two pairs and became the tournament's first chip leader. I continued my chip lead until the third quarter of the tournament where I became third in chips. At the final table this extremely tight player went from 6k chips to 100k in 30 minutes when it was just me and her left. Down from a 3:1 chip deficit, I overcame her by doubling up twice with Q's, and finished her off with an accidental pre-flop raise with 6 10 clubs. It all started with J 9 clubs...

Optimism

I was in a pretty good mood today; then I clocked in for work and became depressed. Moving on. My mom told me she wants a digital camera. It looks like we have something in common here, cause I want one too. My birthday is fairly imminent, not really, but I kinda convinced her to just buy me one and she can use it when she needs. How often is she gonna use it anyway? But yeah, I'm kinda excited cause that just saves me about $400 that will go toward my desktop and my watch. All this buying stuff is making me excited, but I just wish I had the money for everything right now. Also, my sister got me a fall registration for Mt. Sac, so now I guess I need to register for some general ed. Unimportant, let's talk about an updated list of stuff I need to purchase.

Bad Day

Let's start out with congratulations to Ranjan Asrani (high school grad) and Kim Shih (middle school promotion), even though I baked in the sun during those two days, but it's ok. Talk about heat, it's as hot as Charmane Star in Sakura Tales 6.

Today was a pretty bad day, I don't really feel like talking about it. I just wanted to write something and I am doing just that. It didn't exactly end the way I was hoping it would, but we'll just continue tomorrow I guess. Hopefully it'll be a good day. Time to go to sleep.

Why is there so much stuff to want lately?! I feel overwhelmed by all these things to decide on; even though they are really not that important. Maybe they're important to me though, since I have nothing else to look forward to. Let's show a list:

Anyway, RJ and I are gonna start playing Final Fantasy XI online. Talk about excitement; or at least I hope so. We're a little late on this game, but we really need a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG). Time for a nice ten hour sleep. I'm gonna hope for some good dreams.

Fluctuation

I've probably been a little more distant lately. My thoughts are a little complex. I've been fluctuating a lot. I'm probably not as open; I've been a little more serious. I probably shut people out a little bit more. Oh well, I think I know what I want. I'll come up with something.

One Night In Town

Work on Friday was pretty crappy as usual, so I'm just gonna skip ahead. Roxana and I got off around 12ish and went to meet with John and Darryl so we could head to the club. I guess that couple's discount thing is real cause Roxana and I said we were together so it was just like $20 for the both of us. Pretty nice, saves her $10 since she doesn't have the VIP card. Anyways, we took her for her first time, and I guess it kinda helped to prevent dancers from asking us if we wanted any; either that or it was just cause we were like squeezed into a corner no one really looks at. I didn't mind. It was a pretty fun night; beats socializing at a hookah bar. Apparently John really wanted a dance but his like amazingly high standards prevented him from it. I got this song Ecstasy by ATB stuck in my head from that night. Let's go again, that was pretty fun.

Decision & Anticipation

That damn Perry Ellis hoodie is calling my name. Maybe we should stop going and looking at it, but then it's so damn enticing. So, apparently Darryl and I decided to make this agreement to see how soon I wanna buy it. Either way I'm gonna buy it, but I guess whatever happens next will determine when. There's $135 at risk here; ouch. My bank account is already feeling the damage, or should I just say my Macy's card is. I'm just picturing myself with that hoodie and the D&G sunglasses I want; and the only thing I can say is "Wow."

Have I ever said how much I hate waiting? Damn I'm so impatient. I seem to have this one-tracked mind lately, and I'm dying of anticipation to find out what's gonna happen. It's probably cause I feel like I took too long, but let's just hope that's not the case. I need to sleep right now so tomorrow will come faster!
